It is sort of a muscled up version of pigs in a blanket! These are REALLY good. I've made them several times and never have leftovers. I like to make them for game days...and our family can polish them off before half time.

Sometimes when I'm in a hurry, I precook the sausages, let them cool and then put them in crescent roll blankets instead of the pastry puff. Be aware though, If you do it that way, you need to cook them a bit beforehand because crescent rolls only bake a few minutes. You'll also need a couple cans of the crescent rolls. I've even split the sausages in half lengthwise before cooking because our family likes burned piggies!
