August's theme: Altered Art

Before I get started, the winner of JULY'S  drawing is CHRIS!  I'll be send you a little goodie in the mail, thanks for playing along this month!!!

This is the perfect month to STAY INSIDE and create ALTERED ART!

It is so hot right now that all I want to do is stay inside and create.  I have to admit that little Osa is keeping my crafting ideas on hold though...she is quite the busy body!

This month I thought it would be fun to make something out of ANYTHING you can get your hands on!  

I love altered art....you can find tons of ideas online or just use your imagination!

Books, bottles, notepads, gift tags, gift bags, spools, boxes......the list is endless.  Don't forget to post your finished work of art here by the end of the month!  I'll do a drawing and send the winner a goodie!

A surprise!

I've been under the weather and actually crawled out of bed ALIVE today!

I decided better late than never....so Kerry, THANK YOU for my lovely hostess gift!

She sent me a pattern for those cute knit zombie wash cloths, along with zombie playing cards and a mini zombie book mark!  ACK!  I love everything!

Here is a close up of the little zombie.  I love him.  I named him George and I will love him and squeeze him and call him my own...

I luv me some hooties.   And someone sent me some.  Totally unexpected....and I'm in love!

Kerry made me this sweet hootie tote!  You can see it hanging HERE on her own blog.  She also made the card y'all.....she is crazy with paper.  How does she do it?

Piggies

I was so fortunate to Have Melinda for my Piggie Partner.  Saturday Melinda came to my house to meet.  We had a blast, we sat in the sewing room and talked and laughed, ate soup and cookies.  I love meeting my swap partners.  Malinda is so talented she does lovely work. We plan to get together often.   Thanks Val foe another Super Swap!!!
