November Doorprize winner and a few other things..

GOSH!! Time sure has escaped me, I JUST remembered to draw for the November doorprize. However, by default, lucky Natalie is the winner because she was the only one to comment that hadn't won yet.

Last but not least....Thank you, THANK YOU Kerry for your very enchanting, and well themed, reindeer ornies and goodies. I had hoped to post a pic of it all soon, but due to technological difficulties (i.e. broken laptop, new laptop we're going to return, broken old camera, new camera with no memory card) I have not photo'd it...or anything else crafty I have been working on this past month....therefore have no pic to show for it...yet. I WILL post about it, though, as soon as we figure out our technology stuffs.

Technology...it can be very discouraging....I haven't even been able to keep up my blog, and I was hoping to put up a tutorial on how to make the reindeer ornies. For now, I'm limited to just typing.

I've been collecting items for this months door prize ALL YEAR LONG!! Up for grabs we got...

Hear Ye Hear Ye - October's DOOR PRIZE!!

I'm honored to be hosting the Door Prize for October.... my favorite MONTH of them all. Also my birthday month Woot! :)

Guess what this month's 'extra' door prize is?

It is a mosaic cheese tray just perfect for this month's theme!!!!!

I had such fun making this little tray which comes with an acrylic liner that you slip in so the food doesn't dirty the design.

Or....you could simply put it to use somewhere on your patio or in your garden or on a shelf or......well, you get the idea.

I am hosting the door prize for this month.. I have several of these kits - I have one in progress right now.. It includes almost everything you need - EVEN THE NEEDLE!! July's extra doorprize!

As you know, we have more swappers than months...so I am putting up another little 'extra' door prize for our participants!

I've not pulled everything together yet but wanted to get this post up...July is moving WAY too fast for me!

For starters, I found a sweet book called "A Walk in Monet's Garden" which is befitting our YOE theme...I find gardens quite enchanting, don't you?

I've also got some garden themed FQ's and card stock and will be adding a few more bits and bobs to it (who wants an apron???) before drawing on July 31st!

July's Door prize

When I first saw that each of us would be hosting a give away I went on an Ebay search. I found this Michael Miller Fairy panel and fell in love. I knew it would be great as a give away for the Year of Enchantment. When I quilted it I did some squiggles and swirls and followed the leaves and flowers. It was fun to just wiggle and squiggle all over except for the fairies face. It felt strange to be quilting over her face.

This mini quilt measures 21" X 41". It is a nice size for a small table runner or to hang on the wall. The background is a  soft pink/peach color that doesn't seem to show in the picture.

The back and the binding are red with polka dots. This is such a sweet looking quilt. I've had it laid out on my cutting table for a couple days so I can look at it as I walk by.

the log...a PINCUSHION, the mushroom....see that butterfly? Its a TAPE MEASURE....and the owl? Those aren't glasses, they are scissors!

Extra doorprize!

Since I have more swappers than there are months in the year, I needed to add some 'extra' door prizes in.

March's Door Prize

In keeping with the theme for March ~ Mushrooms and Toadstools (I swear Val & I didn't plan it this way!) ~ The door prize is a set of three Magic Mushroom Fairy Houses. Each Fairy House has a smokestack, door & windows. And no two are ever alike!
