Nightmare Before Christmas nesting dolls . . . Absolutely AMAZING!

Jill also included so many fun tuck-ins . . . fabric, a bead garland, miniature figurines (love them), and a Jack Skellington coffee mug.  I LOVE coffee mugs!

I enjoy this swap so much.  Thank you Valery for organizing it and thank you to everyone who participates.  I get so excited when my package arrives . . . you would think it was Christmas.  :)

Thank you, Claire! I just received the most amazing swap package!! Such a fun box to open with so many fantastic things inside. 

Sally is just amazing. She is going to hang with Oogie Bookie on my zombie shelf. Not only is she beautiful, she smells really good :) 

In the back, behind the garland are two little wind up toys. They are going to work with me. They are just what I need when my brain is overloaded LOL

I also made pink pumpkins out of a sweater and a crocheted one, the little pumpkins are made from recycled paper, full of seeds for next spring’s garden.   The witch hat was fun to make!

I’m pleased to say she loved it all!

Yarnigras Annual Handmade Zombie Doll Swap

 

This year our theme is:

   "NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS ZOMBIES!" 

This movie has been a "requested" theme for years.  And I do mean YEARS.  So THIS is the year!!!!

Here is what we are swapping: 

1.)You will create one Nightmare Before Christmas themed zombie doll from your partner's choice list and then add 3 tuck ins (goodies) to round out the package.  Guys, this is an EASY theme for our swap....ALL the characters already look like Zombies!    By the way, HomeGoods has loads of "NBC" themed goodies right now!

2.)The tuck ins can be handmade, purchased, thrifted, re-gifted, etc. as long as they are clean and undamaged. 

*Please check out the answers to your partner's list to help you out before getting the tuck ins!

3.)The doll needs to be handmade and at LEAST 6 inches in height/length.   I have approved premade blank doll forms which are available to use as a base but you must hand make all the details and elements that make it into a zombie.  I found some at Joann's and Hobby Lobby.  

This is a USA swap only.
The sign up by date is August 17th so I can announce partners the following weekend.  (I retain the right to close the swap early if I choose so please don't wait to join up.)

Ship date is September 25 so the dolls can arrive to their new homes in time for people put out their Halloween decorations!  Feel free to ship earlier but PLEASE ship no later than 9/25/24.

Please note if an "angel" swap is needed for any reason other than crisis, that swapper will not be invited back.  An "angel" is someone other than the original partner who graciously steps in to fulfill the swap.

1. Name and address. Include phone if you would like text updates. 

2. List of 3 favorite characters for your partner to choose 1 character from.   

3. Choose either "creepy" or "cute" style.  Note: most of these guys are already CREEEEPY!  LOL.

4. Small list of things you collect for Halloween and Fall.

5. Colors you decorate with for Halloween and Fall.

Please note:

My swaps are made to encourage creativity, not bust the bank.  That being said, your package should equate to a minimum of $30.00 before shipping.  

Please create a zombie doll that you feel certain your partner will adore and wrap it up in tissue. 

Also, be careful when wrapping items for shipping so they don't get damaged.  No one wants a busted up Zombie package. 
When shipping, I suggest using tracking and make note of the date mailed.  If the doll does not arrive within 10 business days of shipping, you will be responsible for making and sending a NEW zombie doll package.

Thank you Debbie for this amazing Mather Nature Zombie. Created on an armature, she is poseable and can stand on her own. She can even hold a basket.

The details are amazing! Look in the folds of her dress...

The basket is deceptively cute...there are skulls(brains) for later stashed among the flowers!

Debbie made an amazing mother nature zombie! I'm thrilled to add it to my zombie horde.

Look at all of the amazing goodies. Trims, fabric, ephemera for mixed media crafting. I LOVE all of it! Debbie and I have opposite creative styles for zombies. I try to make creepy but they are always cute and Debbie makes wonderful creepy zombies. Debby really nailed this Mother Nature zombie for me. It's a great mix of zombie wounds, and bloodied up bits without being scary. I love it!

Debbie, thank you for such an amazing zombie and package! You are so talented!

 

BONGOMANIA!!!

 Y’all, could you hear me SQUEALING?   I am so in love with my Bongo Bigfoot!!!!

Kerry simply outdid herself (again!)

Not only is Bongo amazing but she used tuckins to wrap tuckins!!! The fabric was the wrapping of this wonderful assortment of gardening, sewing and crochet goodies! 

He is COVERED in the softest fluffy hair ever!
