April's theme!

There are many classic stories that have rabbits as main characters.

I was torn between Peter Rabbit and the Velveteen Rabbit....and Alice in Wonderland's white rabbit....and Brer Rabbit...and...and...and.
Once again, there were just too many books to list.
In the end, The Velveteen Rabbit won out because it is such a sweet story of hope.

"THERE was once a velveteen rabbit, and in the beginning he was really splendid. He was fat and bunchy, as a rabbit should be; his coat was spotted brown and white, he had real thread whiskers, and his ears were lined with pink sateen. On Christmas morning, when he sat wedged in the top of the Boy's stocking, with a sprig of holly between his paws, the effect was charming."

March's ornie is done. I used this tutorial as my inspiration. I decided she needed a little crown so I crocheted one using wire and beads. I love how "Princess Pinkie" turned out.

Look how spoilt I was - such a lovely Swap Package that Courtney sent me:-)

She was so sweet - this is actually the 2nd Matroyshka package she sent, after the 1st one never arrived ..... I hate when that happens !!!

The fat quarters will find their way into a quilt or cushion cover no doubt. Nobody can ever have enough ric rac in my opinion either.

Now that little stamp .... It makes me so happy !!! I have a friend who adopted twin boys from Russia, and who just LOVES everything matroyshka .... I forsee some fabric matroyshka tags making their way into her Easter basket this year:-)

Is she not just the cutest little thing ever !!! Courtney hand drew her:-) I admire people who can draw so much ...... my stick figures are questionable !!! I think her little face is just so precious:-)

Russian Dolls

My lovely package from Kerry arrived. It is so sweet. I LOVE everything!!!!

    

I don't know if she is crochet or knitted but she is darling!

Some beautiful garden stakes along with seeds! She sure does know me well.

March's theme!

Spring is around the corner and with it come the birds!

Who doesn't love Make Way for Ducklings....or Are You My Mama? ...or Chicken Little? or The Little Red Hen? And those are just the oldies....there are just too many to list..so I went with a story about vanity.
You'll find the story in the same book with Yertle the Turtle and The Sneetches, Yertle is on the front cover. Can you guess?
