 Trisha sent me the neatest swap package!

She made a decopauged ornament of the Renwick House in Belfast NY.  For those who don't know, this place is HAUNTED....and even better...Trisha and her husband bought the place and are doing renovations to bring it back to its former glory!    

She also included a cute ghostie who clearly thought the Renwick house was too scary for him and some other goodies!

 Oh my gosh!!!  I am totally in love with my swap package!

I got a "Miss Blueberry Lemon Drop" doll!  She is so stinking cute, check the HAT and her little cocktail!!!!

And look at all the goodies!  I feel like I got seriously spoiled.....even the card and tags are handmade.  Of course, the cocktail tea towels are seriously the BEST!  And that bat thing on the top left of the chair?  I've never seen or HEARD of one.  It is so cool!  Its called a Pioneer Pocket.  I'm going to use it all month long at school to hold my cell phone!

A Tale of 2 Zombies

We had a zombie creator who couldn't continue the swap so I stepped in for her.   

Because of that, I am the HAPPY recipient of not just 1 but 2.... yes, that is TWOOOOOOO amazing zombie dolls!

I have Rosa, a lovely little Day of the Dead Girl Scout sent all the way from Cali by Julie.  She is all jazzed up and ready to sell some cookies to poor unsuspecting people leaving the local Whatevermart!

I love everything about this doll!

She is so sassy and insisted she take center stage on the piano!

  
And then I have the Starbucks Barista Braniac made by Kerry.   Brainiac loves Starbucks as much as I do!!!   

And here Brainiac is.... I swear he is checking out Ms. Prom Queen 2016!

Both ladies seriously spoiled me with an abundance of tuck ins that I can't wait to use!

I want to thank both Kerry and Julie for creating such amazing dolls for me this year.   I love them both soooooo much!!!!     And yes....I already have NEXT YEAR'S THEME ready!!!

Zombie surprise!

So the other day, I came home to find a little box on my doorstep.

Inside what did I find?

 A wonderful box of cookies and a zombie head pincushion!

Now, the cookies did the Monster Mash during shipping...but I don't know ANY zombie that has all his limbs!  I ate them first...before Kaela stole the "bodies."

And Ernie is happily sitting out with my other zombies....just waiting for some poor unsuspecting soul to get within lips reach!

A surprise!

I've been under the weather and actually crawled out of bed ALIVE today!

I decided better late than never....so Kerry, THANK YOU for my lovely hostess gift!

She sent me a pattern for those cute knit zombie wash cloths, along with zombie playing cards and a mini zombie book mark!  ACK!  I love everything!

Here is a close up of the little zombie.  I love him.  I named him George and I will love him and squeeze him and call him my own...

Sing a Song....

......of zombie birds!

So Sarah and I were partners this round and we both picked the same nursery rhyme.

Here is what Sarah sent me

along with the bird on the pie, she included a bottle of buttons and ribbon that had a blackboard label.  She also send a cute bird cage cut out wrapped with some rick rack and bobble trim.  She added a cute mini gnome kit which I am thinking of zombifying!  Thank you Sarah!!!!

Here is her altered version of the rhyme...

And here is what I sent her..

I forgot to take a photo of the stuff I made before packaging it....I made a bottle full of eyeballs I showed in the sneak peek and other things to go with each verse, along with paper birds for scrap booking, a pie bird and pot pie recipe, the "nose" which wasn't that great looking (haha) along with some honey and Mardi Gras coins and beads for money and jewels.  I also included a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond because it had the word blackbird in it!  It didn't fit the rhyme but I think it is a great youth book and worth reading.

Here is my take on the rhyme, I put it on a scroll and attached it to the bird's beak.  By the way, the guts will spill out of his stomach, I crocheted them and crammed them in....as well as his brain, which is exposed.  I forgot to take an "aerial" shot!

Apparently, we both also like to bloodify our poems and packaging!!!!

A Mighty Thank You

I usually go all out when making my packages and did the same this year.   I had a theme within a theme, I had categories, I had hand made.....but Kerry TOTALLY outdid me and I cannot THANK HER ENOUGH!

So, first, check out the cute wrapping...she took my words and attached them as quotes on the packages. 

Oh, yea, even the TAGS were handmade.

The birdies are arriving!   I can't show them to you...but I can show you the cutie that Chris sent me....just a little Halloween surprise!  I love it!

The Hatter is Spectacular!

Mr. Hatter flew in today.  As I drove up to the house, I could see his box thumping across my front porch.  Kaela quickly jumped out to snatch it up before it fell off and into a puddle!

I ripped off the wrapping and....lookie lookie!  The Hatter and lots of goodies....including a handcrafted pumpkin for my Halloween tree.

"The Jabberwocky lost the fight as you can see, and now his leg is a cane for me!"
