 Trisha sent me the neatest swap package!

She made a decopauged ornament of the Renwick House in Belfast NY.  For those who don't know, this place is HAUNTED....and even better...Trisha and her husband bought the place and are doing renovations to bring it back to its former glory!    

She also included a cute ghostie who clearly thought the Renwick house was too scary for him and some other goodies!

Debbie did an amazing job creating this ornament. He's the perfect combination of spooky and cute! Plus he looks amazing on my Halloween tree.

Debbie also included goodies like this apothocary bucket filed with pumpkins and skulls and a bottle  of werewolf fur. The picture doesn't do the werewolf fur justice. Debbie is a master creator when it comes to spooky creations. Thank you Debbie!!!! I love my ornament and goodies!

Next I need to work on my pumpkin head doll for the quartlery challenge. I'm also looking forward to tackling the perilous plants theme for February.

February Spooky YOE theme!

 Greetings everyone!!!

February's theme is "PERILOUS PLANTS!"

Think of all the itchy, pokey, prickly, poisonous plants out there!  We even have plants that are carnivorous!  

And those beautiful but deadly toadstools called Destroying Angels, what a name! Ooooo or the DEATHC CAP!

 Toadstools are my fav admittedly but I cannot fail to mention the most famous nasty plant of all....  Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors!!!!! 

The best part is that the plant doesn't have to  EXIST in real life!   Please come up with a horribly fantastic name so it's new owner will know what it is!!!!

Some of you have already joined so this post is mainly for people who stumble across my blog and want to play along.

First Quarter Challenge-DONE!

 Hello all you Spooky YOE people!

I finished the challenge for the first quarter.  I got done quickly which doesn't seem fair BUT....I do create the theme soooo I have an inside edge.  

Anyway, I kept back a box of my Halloween stuff and found the little bucket in it...and WA-LAAAAA, this little guy was created!

I hate sewing teesny clothes so these were part sewn, part glued on.  Gotta love fabric glue.

I put a little flickery tealight in his head (he can't go around with an empty noggin!) and it looks super cute lit up in the evening.

"Dim Dan" likes to pick flowers so I included a few on his clothing.  He is a very happy chap!

I came home to the best package! My January ornament from Jill has arrived it is awesome! 

Jill, thank you so much for this package. I love every bit of it! 

This ornament is so perfect and beautiful. This picture doesn't do it justice. Jill described the process and all I can say is that it is stunning and I am so excited to have it in my hot little hands :) I almost forgot to mention the little black box this ornament came it (see the picture above). It was wrapped with a pretty white ribbon... OMG!!

AND there are cool little houses that will have to go around my Halloween tree.... which I am going to have to keep up year round to showcase all of this amazingness! 

But wait there's more. This adorable (I can say that about a skull flowery clip right??) clip. This made me so happy. It will also be going on my Halloween tree. I am going to have to get a Halloween tree but that also makes me happy!

Thank you again Jill, for everything. It is just right! Your ornament is almost done and I can't wait to send it to you!!

January Theme and inspiration

Happy New Year!

We start our "Spooky Year of Enchantment" off with a good old fashioned "haunting!"

That's right!  To ease us into the New Year and our first month of spooky swaps, I thought I'd keep it simple.   

Pretty much anything can be haunted!  Think of books, places, people, things.....and if you are too tired from all the celebrations last quarter, how about a simple GHOST?!
